Together, we can forge a resilient future where every Afghan has the tools to lead a dignified and self-reliant life.
Challenges in Afghanistan
Afghanistan faces a generational crisis marked by the following challenges:
4.2 million children are out of school, most of them girls (60%).
1 in 3 children is engaged in labor, often under hazardous conditions.
28% of girls are married before the age of 18, exposing them to significant health and social risks.
40% youth unemployment has led to increased migration and susceptibility to radicalization.
Psychological trauma and vulnerability to substance abuse have reached alarming levels among children and youth.
These issues underscore the urgent need for multi-pronged interventions to protect and empower Afghanistan’s future generation.
