Dr. Rabani’s Institutional Visits Aimed at Advancing Midwifery Training and Healthcare Development

Peshawar – July 28, 2025:
On July 28, 2025, Dr. Rabani visited several prominent medical institutes and hospitals in Peshawar, including Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), Rehman College of Nursing (RCN), Naseer Teaching Hospital (NTH), Afridi Medical Complex & Teaching Hospital (AMC), and Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).

The objective of these visits was to explore opportunities for capacity building and training programs for Afghan midwifery doctors. During the engagements, Dr. Rabani emphasized the need for practical exposure, upskilling in modern medical technology, and the adoption of current clinical techniques to elevate healthcare standards in Afghanistan.

At Naseer Teaching Hospital, Dr. Wasim (Principal of the Nursing College) welcomed the initiative. At Afridi Medical Complex, Dr. Rabani met with Jalil Afridi (Director of the Hospital), while at Lady Reading Hospital, he held discussions with Dr. Nadeemullah (Assistant Professor of Radiology). These interactions were focused on collaboration and training exchange programs for Afghan medical professionals.

This visit marks a significant step toward regional cooperation in the health sector, fostering stronger academic and clinical ties that aim to benefit the Afghan healthcare system and its future workforce.
